ThermTec WILD 650DL PRO Thermal Imaging Camera
The ThermTec Wild 650DL Pro is currently the only thermal imaging monocular that two physical focal lengths and an integrated laser rangefinder Combined in one device. Those who previously carried separate overview and response devices now only need the 650DL Pro. The weight of 653 gr This is acceptable for this technology package – not an issue in the hunting blind anyway, but also during stalking through the One-handed focus roller and the included wrist strap with four anchor points (for left- and right-handed users) can be easily compensated for.

- NEW! Integrated distance measurement up to 1.000 m: LRF built directly into the front lens – no external attachment required, activation via joystick.
- NEW! Dual Field of View 25mm/50mm: Lens change via lens ring rotation, no menu. Field of view 30,7 m (25 mm) or 15,4 m (50 mm) at 100 m.
- NEW! Shutterless AI calibration: The image remains smooth during automatic calibration – no freezing, no clicking like with older devices.
- 640 × 512 sensor, NETD < 15 mK: The slightest temperature differences are visible, clear WildBody signature even with a small temperature difference to the environment.
- 0,5″ AMOLED, 1.600 × 1.200 pixels: Significantly larger display compared to its predecessor (0,39″), relaxed viewing experience, also suitable for glasses wearers.
- Detection range up to 2.600 m: Heat sources can be detected at very large distances.
- Aperture F0.9: High light output, better image quality in low heat signatures and cold conditions.
- Thermal Super Resolution: AI image processing preserves detail even at high digital magnification.
- Continuous digital zoom 1–4×: Fine magnification without image jumps, combinable with both focal lengths.
- Replaceable 18650 battery: Standard format, compatible with many flashlights and night vision devices. Pop-open compartment, lens changes possible even in the dark.
- Battery life approx. 6 hours: With two batteries, it will last for 7+ hours; with three, it will last all night.
- One-handed operating concept: Central focus roller, four-directional joystick, all functions accessible with one hand – even with gloves.
- Foldable eyecup: Foldable screen for glasses wearers, full image remains visible.
- Internal storage 64 GB: Photo and video with sound, OSD display, direct playback and fast forwarding on the device.
- Hot-Track and PIP: The warmest spot is automatically marked; picture-in-picture shows overview and section simultaneously.
- 6 color palettes, configurable favorites: Simply place the desired pallets – no scrolling through the area.
- App connection via hotspot: Live image on smartphone or tablet, remote control via app.
- Tripod thread: Compatible with standard and motorized vehicle tripods.
- No standby LED: The device does not light up in standby mode – no red flashing to indicate the user.

Features of ThermTec WILD 650DL
- Joystick control in detail: Left activates LRF, forward/backward controls the digital zoom, right switches the image mode, double-click opens the menu. The controls function exclusively in four basic directions – no diagonal input, no accidental malfunctions.
- Use image settings correctly: The device allows for deep adjustments to brightness, contrast, noise, and white balance. Important: Drastically reducing brightness and increasing contrast will result in a loss of... WildVisibility in vegetation – especially after warm days, when trees radiate similar temperatures to the surrounding air. WildRecommendation: Leave image parameters in the middle, make adjustments only via the OLED brightness levels and create color palettes.
- LRF in vegetation: In open fields, the rangefinder works precisely up to... 1.000 mIn dense vegetation, the laser beam sometimes hits branches instead of the object – then the following applies: furthest displayed value as distance to WildContinuous measurement is preferable to single measurement, as a single measuring point in the field is easily missed.
- Battery management in the hunting area: The LRF is the biggest power consumer. With regular use, the runtime decreases to 3–4 hours per batteryKeep spare batteries warm in an inside pocket – lithium cells noticeably lose capacity in cold weather. Practice changing them once a day; then you'll be able to do it easily even in complete darkness.
- Use video recordings in the area: Recordings can be rewound directly on the device – practical for quickly checking in which direction a piece jumped or whether a moment was documented. 64 GB sufficient for a very long deployment in the field without changing the storage capacity.

Questions & Answers about the 650DL PRO
the normal Wild The 650 has a single focal length and no laser rangefinder. The DL Pro incorporates two physical focal lengths (25 mm and 50 mm) plus a rangefinder integrated into the lens – thus eliminating the need for a separate rangefinder altogether.
That's precisely what it's designed for. Anyone who previously carried a wide-angle lens for an overview and a second one for identifying game can now cover both needs with the 650 DL Pro. A real advantage for stalking hunters who are already carrying a lot of gear.
Perfect for use in a hunting blind – the weight is irrelevant, and the large display and dual focal length are fully utilized. However, due to its weight, it's better suited to experienced users who are aware of and willing to accept this for driven hunts with a lot of movement.
IP67 certified, meaning dustproof and waterproof up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. Heavy rain is no problem. As with all lithium batteries, capacity decreases in cold weather – keep spare batteries warm in an inside pocket.
Yes, better than most thermal imaging devices in this class. The eyepiece folds flat, allowing you to wear glasses directly. Thanks to the large 0,5-inch display, you still see the entire image – something that's often a problem with glasses on smaller displays.
Yes, provided they are flat-head batteries – button-head batteries won't fit. Anyone already using flashlights, night vision devices, or other hunting optics with 18650 batteries can standardize their battery system. This saves weight in your backpack and simplifies charging management.
The lens change is made by turning the lens ring and is virtually silent. No clicking, no mechanical noise. Wild might be worrying.
