Cyclops 335L 3.0 thermal imaging camera
Overview of the Cyclops 335L 3.0 thermal imaging handheld device
They stalk slowly through the undergrowth, a walking stick in one hand, a rifle in the other. Only one hand is free for identifying the game. The Cyclops 335L 3.0 was developed precisely for such situations.
The Cyclops 335L 3.0 is a thermal imaging monocular with an integrated laser rangefinder . The sensor has a resolution of 384×288 pixels and a NETD of less than 15 mK , ensuring a steady and clear image even in low light. The 0,5-inch AMOLED display offers 1600×1200 pixels , delivering a crisp, high-contrast image. The rubberized housing provides a secure grip and is IP67- rated for protection against rain and dust. The device is powered by a single, replaceable 18650 battery with a runtime of 7 hours – a spare battery is included for easy swapping on the go. Weighing just 435 grams , the monocular remains lightweight enough for extended stalks without compromising range or image quality.
Who is the Cyclops 335L 3.0 suitable for?

The device recalibrates itself automatically – without freezing the image. This means you don't lose a second while stalking and can keep your prey in view at all times.
The base magnification is combined with AI-powered digital zoom up to 17,2x. This allows details such as camel humps or brushes to be clearly seen even at a distance.
Sensor and image quality – clear response in darkness and rain
The microbolometer sensor has a resolution of 384×288 pixels and operates in the spectral range of 8–14 µm. With a NETD of less than 15 mK, the sensor detects minute temperature differences – ideal for distinguishing a wild boar from a tree stump. Combined with the high-aperture f/0.8 lens, the actual system sensitivity is noticeably lower than the sensor's nominal value. This is particularly evident in humid air and approaching fog: the image remains steady where other devices flicker. The 50 Hz refresh rate further ensures a smooth image, even when the subject is moving.
Optics and range – reliably addressing objects at long distances
The Detection range is 1800 meters. – you'll hardly miss a piece of the field's edge anymore. The integrated Laser rangefinders measures deer and blackwildlarge pieces reliably up to 1000 MetersIt can detect larger heat sources, such as vehicles, even at greater distances. This allows you to know the distance to the animal before setting your position. The optics also prove invaluable when distinguishing between similarly colored animals: even an animal that barely stands out against the bone-dry ground is immediately and clearly visible in the thermal image.
Operation – One-handed operation while stalking
The focus wheel is located on top of the device and can be adjusted with one hand. This allows you to keep a stalking animal in sharp focus as it approaches – practical for clearly identifying the base of the antlers or tufts of hair without having to wait until the animal is very close. The diopter adjustment is a ring around the eyepiece; there is no longer a separate dial for stopping the adjustment. The power switch is deliberately located at the rear of the device, while the laser and zoom are conveniently located at the front. This allows you to operate the Cyclops 335L 3.0 with one hand, while the other holds your shooting stick or rifle.
When changing the battery in the dark, a small lever in the battery compartment proves invaluable: Open the flap, and it automatically pushes the battery upwards. This allows you to grip it securely, even without light – no more fumbling like with the fiddly pull tabs of some competitors.
Battery life and robustness – ready for use in any weather.
The replaceable 18650 battery provides 7 hours of runtime . Use the included spare battery if you're filming a lot: recording consumes significantly more power than simply watching. The integrated app connection via hotspot allows you to transfer photos and videos directly to your smartphone – practical for backing up footage from tracking wounded game or sharing it with fellow hunters. The IP67 protection rating reliably keeps out rain and dust. Weighing just 435 grams and with compact dimensions, the device sits comfortably in your hand, even during hours spent in a hunting blind.
A carrying case or shoulder strap is not included with the Cyclops 335L 3.0. We recommend purchasing both separately to keep the device readily accessible and protected while stalking.
My conclusion on the Cyclops 335L 3.0

I used the Cyclops 335L 3.0 during a search for wounded game in Rastede . The animal was lying in dense undergrowth, barely distinguishable from the vegetation. I located it within minutes using the device – the image remained steady and clear, even though it was damp and foggy that evening.
I particularly liked the one-handed operation . With the shooting stick in one hand, I could easily focus and activate the laser rangefinder with the other. Changing the battery in the dark also worked perfectly on the first try, without any fiddling – the small lever in the battery compartment automatically pushes the battery upwards.
For the price, you get a thoroughly well-designed device that is equally suitable for stalking, stand hunting, and tracking . My only wish would have been for a carrying case and shoulder strap to be included.

I am a hunter. When you come to me, you won't be talking to a salesperson – but to someone who actually uses the equipment in the field.
There's a raised platform right next to the sales area. Take a seat, grab the device – and look out. That's how you'll see how it really counts.
I will take my time for you. Therefore, I kindly ask you to make a brief appointment beforehand.
Yours sincerely, Jens Dewenter Venari Hunting, Rastede
