Why the Cyclone 325 belongs in the area
- Wild detectable from a distance: Detection range up to 1.300 m, recognition up to approx. 430 m, identification (e.g., deer) up to approx. 140 m – enough lead time to Wild to locate it in time and make the right decision.
- Even the smallest temperature differences are visible: The highly sensitive 12-µm VOX sensor with NETD < 20 mK detects even the smallest temperature differences – even in fog, rain or dense vegetation. Wild recognizable.
- Stay in the hide for the entire duration: Interchangeable battery system with standard 18650 batteries, up to 10 hours of runtime per battery – with the included second battery up to 20 hours continuously.
- Can also be operated while wearing gloves: Ergonomic housing with intuitive key layout, suitable for left- and right-handed users.
- More than just observation: AI-supported distance measurement, picture-in-picture function for detailed targeting at greater distances, heat point marking and three image modes (forest/target/outline) for different terrain types.
- Documentation directly in the precinct: 32 GB internal storage for photos and videos, transferable to a smartphone via a Wi-Fi app.

Who is the Cyclone 325 suitable for?
Ideal for hunters seeking a lightweight, quick-to-use thermal imaging handheld device for close to medium range – whether for patrolling their hunting area, spontaneous stalking, or as a compact addition to a clip-on device for their riflescope. Those who regularly need to identify game at very long distances should opt for a model with a greater detection range or higher optical magnification.
My conclusion on the Cyclone 325
As a passionate hunter, the ThermTec Cyclone 325 has absolutely convinced me as a compact companion in the field. It is extremely small and light , which greatly increases its practicality: Instead of disappearing into my backpack, I can easily wear it around my neck for hours without fatigue and always have it immediately accessible.
The excellent image quality The razor-sharp contrast allows me to Wild even in dense vegetation to address precisely Instead of unclear heat sources, I immediately recognize the exact situation. I was also impressed by the enormous battery lifeI simply leave the device switched on all day in the hunting area to ensure maximum speed. And if the battery does happen to run out, it's... Replaced in just 5 seconds.
The smooth image display without disruptive interruptions, as well as the flexible color and contour modes, make details excellently visible.
Where are the device's limitations? As the mid-range model in the series (between the 315 and the flagship 625), the Cyclone 325, with its 25mm lens, is the ideal all-rounder for wooded and mixed terrain . However, it reaches its limits in purely open fields and for distances exceeding 125 meters – here, the more powerful Cyclone 625 is definitely the better choice. Furthermore, while the AI distance measurement provides an ingeniously fast orientation aid in the field, it is no substitute for a dedicated laser rangefinder.
Conclusion: For hunting in mixed terrain at medium distances, the Cyclone 325 delivers outstanding performance in a compact format – I highly recommend it for this application!
