The Pulsar Forward FN 455s is the successor to the FN 155 and is therefore interesting for many hunters who are looking for an inexpensive night vision device. After Pulsar has already enjoyed great success with the FN 155 and caused a lot of attention, the FN 455s is also a very interesting device as a digital night vision device in the lower price segment with significantly improved performance.

FN 455s with improved sensor and HD resolution

Where the FN155 used a sensor with 702 x 526 pixels, the FN455s boasts a CMOS sensor and a resolution of 1280×720 HD (HD sensor) and thus records significantly more image information. This leads to overall very good image performance and a detailed view.

Sensitivity significantly improved

The Forward F455s uses proprietary software and advanced electronic components to deliver one of the highest sensitivity levels in the infrared (light sensitivity) spectrum. The result is a device that delivers flawless performance in passive mode even at night without turning on the IR lighting. The high sensitivity in the 900 to 950 nm range allows the Forward F455s to be used with invisible IR emitters.

To install the Forward FN 455s on the target optics, adapters with different installation sizes are used. This allows for quick installation of the FN-455s as a lens attachment.

Quickly replaceable batteries with a long service life

Forward FN455 uses an advanced independent autonomous B-pack battery system.

The rechargeable IPS5 battery (5 Ah) fits into a special compartment in the scope body without protruding and provides more than 6 hours of operation in maximum consumption mode.

IPS7 (6,5 Ah), IPS10 (10 Ah) and IPS14 (13,2 Ah) batteries with higher performance are also available as options.

Four-point quick bayonet connection with automatic clamping

The attachment docks the adapter using a durable four-point bayonet fitting. The adapter is available as a single piece in 56mm and 62mm sizes. For all other required sizes, a two-piece adapter is available (bayonet adapter ring and matching Rusan ARM52 clamp adapter ).

Companies like Rusan offer a wide range of adapters to Pulsar-To mount devices on daylight optics.

Algorithm for improving software sensitivity

The SumLight function increases the sensitivity of the sensor and enables passive observation (without IR brightener) in poor lighting conditions at night. The software automatically activates algorithms such as adjacent pixel signal addition and image addition, increasing sensitivity while maintaining sufficient image quality.

Fully waterproof case - IPX7

The Forward F455s is fully waterproof and has an IPX7 protection level. This means that the device can even survive a short immersion in water.
