Nocpix VISTA H50R thermal imaging camera
Nocpix VISTA H50R – Thermal imaging monocular with laser rangefinder
The Nocpix VISTA H50R is a high-end thermal imaging monocular. Nocpix equips the VISTA H50R with a 640×512 sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch and a sensitivity of ≤ 15 mK NETD . The display has a resolution of 2560×2560 pixels on a 1,03-inch AMOLED panel . The integrated laser rangefinder has a range of up to 1200 m . Two IBP-7 type batteries are included. This device is aimed at hunters who are looking for a high-performance observation device for long distances – and who don't want to forgo a built-in laser rangefinder.
Who is the Nocpix VISTA H50R suitable for?

NEW on VISTA: 60 Hz image frequency
Most thermal imaging devices in this class operate at 50 Hz . The VISTA H50R operates at 60 Hz . This means that movements – even of fast-moving wild boar – appear smoother and can be identified more reliably. This difference in the image makes a significant difference, especially during driven hunts or when the animal is moving away.
Sensor and image quality – clear response in darkness and rain
The VISTA H50R uses a proprietary Nocpix sensor. The sensor has a resolution of 640×512 pixels with a 12 µm pixel pitch . Its thermal sensitivity is ≤ 15 mK NETD – top-of-the-line performance. The R+ AI image algorithm processes the sensor signal and delivers a detailed, high-contrast image. Even in humid air, rain, or fog, the image remains clear. For those who need crisp images in poor conditions, the VISTA H50R provides a reliable foundation.
Optics and range – 2600 m detection range with 50 mm lens
The 50mm lens with an f/0,9 aperture gathers more light than many comparable devices. Nocpix specifies a detection range of 2600 m – measured on a target with an area of 1,7 × 0,5 m. The optical zoom is 4x , and up to 40x is possible via digital zoom. The field of view at 100 m is 15 × 12 m . The VISTA H50R is clearly designed for long distances. The integrated laser rangefinder has a range of up to 1200 m – the exact distance to the target is displayed directly on the screen.
Recording and operation – silent, field-tested
The VISTA H50R records photos and videos to its internal 64GB memory . Recordings can be transferred to a smartphone via Wi-Fi . Nocpix has incorporated silent buttons – a crucial detail when hunting from a blind. The rotating eyepiece prevents light leakage. The housing features a TPU leatherette texture for a secure grip, even in the rain. Eyeglass wearers benefit from the integrated diopter correction . GPS is also included.
The VISTA H50R supports the ThermTec Outdoor AppLive images and recordings can be streamed directly to a smartphone. A useful feature for team hunts or for observing a hunting area together.
Battery and robustness – replaceable battery, IP67, up to 11 hours
The VISTA H50R comes with two IBP-7 batteries (4400 mAh each) . Each battery provides up to 5,5 hours of runtime , resulting in a total runtime of over 11 hours with two batteries. Battery swapping is quick and easy. Nocpix states that the device retains 90% of its battery capacity even at -20°C . The housing is IP67 rated – completely dustproof and briefly submersible. The VISTA H50R weighs 650 g including the batteries and measures 194 × 70 × 82 mm.
My assessment of the Nocpix Vista H50R LRF:
The Nocpix VISTA H50R This device is suitable for large hunting areas. It's ideal for those who hunt in open fields – large areas, wide distances, and areas with game.wild At a distance – you'll find exactly the right tool here. 50mm lens This gives the H50R a noticeably better detection range than the smaller 35. Wild It can be detected earlier and addressed more precisely. You can tell the difference.
The built-in laser rangefinder up to 1200 m is not a luxury for me, but a necessity. Knowing the exact distance to the game contributes to ethical hunting practices – and to shooting safety. Two batteries included, direct USB-C charging, robust IP67 housing: The VISTA H50R is made for long nights.
Those who hunt extensively in the woods or in confined areas should opt for the VISTA H35R – its wider field of view is better suited there. For everyone else: The VISTA H50R is a clear recommendation . Happy hunting!

FAQs
Yes. The VISTA H50R has a flip-up eyepiece diaphragm and diopter adjustment. Eyeglass wearers can use the device comfortably without their glasses.
The only hardware difference is the lens. The H50R has a 50mm lens, while the H35R has a 35mm lens. This results in two things: The H50R has a longer detection range (2600m vs. 1800m) and a 4x base magnification instead of 3x. The H35R, on the other hand, has a wider field of view at 100m – 22m instead of 15m. The sensor, display, LRF, and all other functions are identical.
For open terrain and long distances. Hunters who cover large fields benefit from the greater range and improved detail recognition at a distance. In confined woodland areas with short sight lines, the VISTA H35R is the better choice – its wider field of view provides a better overview.
Yes. The VISTA H50R has a USB-C port. The device can be charged directly via a power bank – even between sessions in the car. According to users, the charging speed is good.
The VISTA H50R is IP67 certified. It is completely dustproof and can withstand brief immersion. Rain, fog, and humid air are no problem.
