Nocpix QUEST S50R – Thermal imaging binoculars with 1280×1024 sensor and LRF
The Nocpix QUEST S50R is a thermal imaging binocular for binocular observation in the field. Nocpix has incorporated a proprietary 1280×1024 sensor with 12 µm pixels – the highest resolution to date in the QUEST series. With a thermal sensitivity of NETD ≤ 15 mK , and a 60 Hz refresh rate, the image remains steady and sharp even when quickly panning across bait sites. Two 0,72-inch AMOLED displays with 1920×1200 pixels provide a clear image for both eyes. This significantly reduces eye strain during long periods of sitting compared to a monocular. The housing is IP67 rated and weighs less than 750 grams with the battery . Despite its powerful technology, the device is easy to handle and fits into any standard binocular case. An integrated laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1000 m is also included.
Who is the QUEST S50R suitable for?
The new sensor generation offers more than twice the resolution of previous QUEST models with a 640 sensor. Details such as antler structure or the udder of sows are thus more clearly visible at a distance. This makes it easier to accurately identify a buck or sow before you call your hunting companion with their rifle.
AI-powered image enhancement reduces image noise and enhances contours without making the image appear artificial. For you, this means less eye strain during extended observation from a hunting blind, even in low-contrast situations. Wild and environment.
Sensor and image quality – 1280×1024 pixels at 60 Hz
The QUEST S50R's sensor has a resolution of 1280×1024 pixels . Its NETD is below 15 mK , ensuring a low-noise, high-contrast image even in rain and humid conditions. A 60 Hz refresh rate guarantees smooth motion when panning through hedges or along forest edges. Two AMOLED displays, each with 1920×1200 pixels, provide a sharp image for both eyes.
Optics and operation – Zoom from 2x to 16x
The basic magnification is 2x , providing a wide field of view for a quick overview of the stand. The stepless zoom wheel allows you to zoom up to 16x . Electronic image stabilization ensures a steady image even without a support. The diopter adjustment ranges from -5 to +5 diopters , functioning reliably even with eyeglasses. All essential functions can be operated with one hand, leaving the other free for your shooting stick.
The proximity sensor automatically switches off the display as soon as you take the QUEST S50R away from your face. This saves battery power and prevents you from being blinded by your own screen when you briefly put the device down.
Distance measurement and networking – LRF up to 1000 m
The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1000 m . This provides added safety when targeting game at long range. The QUEST S50R connects via N-Link to a thermal imaging riflescope on your hunting partner's rifle. The measured distance is then automatically transferred, and the aiming point is adjusted accordingly. Recordings can also be transferred to a smartphone via Wi-Fi and the app.
Battery and robustness – dual battery system and IP67
The QUEST S50R is powered by an internal battery and a replaceable 18650 battery . When the power runs low, you can swap the 18650 battery without switching off the device. At 22°C, one battery pack lasts for approximately 5 hours . With the battery, the device weighs less than 750 grams , making it pleasantly lightweight for carrying all night while hunting. The housing is IP67 rated, meaning it can withstand rain and dust in the field.
Keep a second 18650 battery in your backpack compartment. Swapping it only takes a few seconds, so you can easily bridge even a long night at the fishing grounds.
As binoculars, the QUEST S50R occupies both eyes simultaneously. For tracking game or returning in complete darkness, you need one eye free and unobstructed – a handheld binocular or clip-on device is more suitable for this. The included rubber lens cap also fits rather loosely. Those who want additional protection can upgrade with compatible scope lens caps.
Our conclusion about the device
The QUEST S50R He especially impressed me with his compact design I'm impressed. For binoculars with this performance, they're pleasantly small and light in the hand. The image is truly excellent – sharp, steady, and with good contrast even in low light. I especially liked the manual focusIt can be adjusted very finely and precisely, without having to search for a long time until the image is just right.
One minor annoyance is the lens cap. It's easy to lose if you remove it in the field and set it aside briefly. A quick look in the accessories aisle solves this problem: standard lens caps for binoculars offer an inexpensive solution and fit much more securely.
Good Hunting,
Jens

Feel free to contact us for advice regarding Nocpix Quest devices or other devices and get a practical overview.

I am a hunter. When you come to me, you won't be talking to a salesperson – but to someone who actually uses the equipment in the field.
There's a raised platform right next to the sales area. Take a seat, grab the device – and look out. That's how you'll see how it really counts.
I will take my time for you. Therefore, I kindly ask you to make a brief appointment beforehand.
Yours sincerely, Jens Dewenter Venari Hunting, Rastede
