HogHunter 650 LRF thermal imaging attachment
Hoghunter 650 LRF – Thermal imaging attachment from JSA Night-Lux
The HoghuntThe ER 650 LRF is a thermal imaging clip-on device from JSA Night-Lux. JSA Night-Lux developed the device in collaboration with the manufacturer NNPO. The sensor triggers with 640 × 512 pixels on, at a pixel pitch of 12 umThe NETD value is at ≤ 15mKThe HoghuntThe 650 LRF can thus detect even the smallest temperature differences, for example, the nose of a wild boar piglet behind a bush. The image scrolls with 60 Hz and remains so even with fast-moving black.wild liquid. 0,49 inch OLED Full HD display With a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, the image is rich in contrast and vibrant. The casing is hefty and robustly built. Function clearly takes precedence over delicate design here. The Hog can withstand a fall onto the forest floor.huntThe 650 LRF went away without any problems. IP67 certification It also provides additional protection against rain and dampness in autumn and winter. The built-in 18650 battery holds around 5h through and recharges via USB-C.
Who is the Hog suitable for?hunter 650 LRF?
New at Hoghunter 650 LRF
The HoghuntThe 650 LRF also stores the moment of the shot in 0,3x slow motionThe period from 3 seconds before to 5 seconds after the shot is recorded in slow motion. This allows for a thorough analysis of the animal's movements and the point of impact.
A crosshair that can be displayed shows the actual aiming point in every video. You can adjust the crosshair individually for different weapon profiles. The crosshair remains visible even in manually recorded videos, not just during shot recording.

Optics and laser rangefinder – reliable detection at 2600 m
The high light output 50mm focal length provides a detection range of up to 2600 mThe integrated laser rangefinder reliably measures distances up to 1000 mAfter pressing the button, the measured value appears as a target marker on the screen. The value then remains visible in the menu bar until you take another measurement. Especially at night, the laser rangefinder prevents dangerous misjudgments of distance.
A laser rangefinder is more than just convenient. Incorrect distance estimation at night quickly leads to a poor aiming point. In the worst case, the animal is simply wounded. The LRF in the HoghuntThe 650 LRF provides a real increase in shooting safety and ethical hunting practices.
Recording and zoom – recoil-activated video and picture-in-picture zoom
The HoghuntThe 650 LRF automatically detects the shot. The recording is saved. 7 seconds before to 15 seconds after the shotA picture-in-picture digital zoom further enlarges the central area up to... 4 timesThe overview through the riflescope remains unobstructed, while the center still displays all the details. Images can be viewed directly via the device's gallery function. The app and USB-C then transfer the images to your smartphone or PC.
Do you hunt with a low-magnification scope, around 1x to 4x for driven hunts? The Hog's picture-in-picture zoomhuntThe 650 LRF provides additional detail recognition at the target without losing the overview at the edge.
Operation, battery and housing – robust for stalking and stand hunting in open fields.
A menu wheel on the top handles turning and pressing to navigate the menu. An on/off switch and the measurement button are located on the left side of the housing. The menu size can be adjusted in three steps. This is particularly helpful with riflescopes that have high base magnification. 18650 battery It sits at an angle in the battery compartment. This ensures that contact is maintained even during recoil, so the device stays on. Round 5h The battery lasts a long time; it's charged via USB-C or an external charger. The Hog's casing is delicate.huntThe 650 LRF isn't included, but it sits rock-solid in the hand.

Questions & Answers
In most cases, little to no adjustment is necessary. JSA Night-Lux assembles and adjusts each device individually in Germany. In practical testing, only minimal readjustment was required. BUT: For ethical hunting – a test shot is, of course, mandatory!
- The 50mm lens and the integrated LRF are clearly designed for wide, open areas – fields, meadows, clearings. In the forest with short distances, the large lens is less advantageous.
- The device uses a M40×0,75 thread and is compatible with the Rusan MAR/MCR system, Venari duo connector / Präzise Jagen and EP ARMS Rotoclip ProLock. An FX version with 3 screws instead of a lever is also available as an option.
Up to 5 hours of runtime with a single 18650 battery. Battery swapping is quick and easy – no tools or special accessories required. Simply insert a second battery and continue.
An internal image gallery can be accessed via a keyboard shortcut – available via a software update. Alternatively, the images can be viewed using the accompanying app.
