InfiRay revises the FH35R “FINDER” and introduces the V2 version
The FH35R has made a name for itself among hunters: its compact design, removable battery and laser rangefinder (LRF). The competition can hardly offer such a combination, including a high-resolution sensor. The FH35R has been extremely successful over the last two years thanks to the combination of high system performance and laser rangefinder.
Well has InfiRay Outdoor the device revised. So far only the top model FH2R V35 has been introduced in the V2 series. It is not yet clear whether the sister model with the mid-range sensor will follow. The FH35R V2 has been revised in various aspects, but fortunately remains true to the device philosophy of the “Finder” series.
What's new with the device?
The Finder FH35R looks very similar to its predecessor. However, there is a lot that is new in the “engine room”. The Finder has been given an extremely modern thermal imaging detector.
The sensor – A high-resolution VOx sensor with a resolution of 640x512px is used. However, resolution is not the only determining factor for a good sensor. The sensor now used has a very high sensitivity of <20mK NETD (predecessor: <40mK NETD - the smaller the value the better).
The data basis for creating the thermal image is significantly richer with the V2, which leads to a higher level of detail in the thermal image. Fur structures are easier to recognize. The particularly small temperature differences in the environment are shown in significantly more facets - overall, this creates a more detailed and realistic image impression for the hunter.
Optical Unit – Interestingly, this device uses a particularly large aperture (small f-number). Typical apertures of current devices are f/1.0. The Finder FH35R V2 uses an f/0.9 aperture. This means that more light enters the lens of the device and thus reaches the detector. The data quality for creating the thermal image is therefore better.
The LRF - particularly helpful
The FINDER series is known for its integrated laser rangefinder , and the FH35R V2 is no exception. The LRF allows for distance measurements up to 800m.
The LRF (Laser Rangefinder) allows the hunter to determine the distance to the target within seconds, accurate to the meter. This is particularly advantageous when using a handheld thermal imaging device and a clip-on thermal imaging device together, as precise distance estimation with thermal imaging is not always straightforward. Especially in unfamiliar hunting areas or at infrequently used feeding sites, a laser rangefinder is invaluable for ethical hunting practices.

The FH35 V2 has extensive features that both increase ease of use and make multimedia use easier.
Interchangeable battery system – The Finder has the option of replacing the battery. A second battery is already included in the scope of delivery. The in-house one is used InfiRay Standard IBP-2, which is in VENARI can be reordered in the shop.
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Function – To prevent losing orientation at higher zoom levels, the FH35R V2 features a picture-in-picture function. Only the center of the image is magnified at the respective zoom level. The surrounding image remains visible at its initial magnification, making it easier to orient oneself while moving.
Various color palettes & image settings – Like all modern thermal imaging cameras for hunting, the Finder also has different color palettes and other image settings to optimally adapt the thermal image to the respective hunting situation.
Wifi & app support – The FH35R V2 is of course also available for data exchange and control InfiRay App controllable. The thermal imaging monocular opens a WiFi hotspot and you can easily connect to this hotspot using your mobile device. The thermal imaging camera can then be controlled via the app and data can be exchanged.
Photo/Video Recording & 32GB Storage – The finder features a large 32GB data storage capacity. Your best hunting moments can be captured and saved at the touch of a button.
