InfiRay Outdoor Eye III EH35 thermal imaging camera

InfiRay has revised the Eye III series and im October 2023 the new models in the series are presented. The housing of the devices hardly differs from their predecessors. However, many details in the software, operation and technology have been revised, which make the device even better and make it suitable for professional hunting. The Eye III series devices are available in three performance levels:

• EL25 for forest and mixed areas: mid-range sensor, 25mm lens
• EL35 for mixed areas: mid-range sensor, 35mm lens
• EH35 for mixed and especially field areas: upper class sensor, 35mm lens

All models have the same features and functions, differing only in terms of the sensor used, the optical unit, and consequently, different fields of view and basic magnifications.

AMOLED screen – The Eye III is equipped with a high-quality AMOLED display. The display has a resolution of 1.440 x 1.080 pixels. AMOLED technology enables pleasantly high-contrast images, and the high resolution allows for particularly detailed representation.

UltraClear mode – The UltraClear mode digitally sharpens the heat signature captured by the device. The image signal is processed and a digitally improved image is created. This function can be switched on or off either.
Cold-resistant batteries – A point of criticism from some hunters is the permanently installed batteries in thermal imaging devices, as you cannot simply extend the running time by replacing the battery when sitting for a long time. InfiRay has taken this criticism to heart and equipped the new Eye III series with more cold-resistant batteries. The drop in performance on particularly cold nights is significantly lower with the devices in this series than with other devices. Even at temperatures as low as -20°, the EYE III only loses around 1 hour of the usual battery life and therefore enables a long stay even with just one battery charge.
Quick charging function and magnetic charging socket – In order to enable such a full battery charge even when disengaged for a short time, the EYE 3 can absorb surprisingly high charging currents. The quick charging function makes it possible to charge around 80% of the battery within an hour. 100% is already charged in about two hours. Very good values!
Slim body design – The housing of the Eye III is extremely slim and easy to handle. Thanks to the device's homogeneous tube, you quickly get used to the feel of the device and can easily reach the well-placed buttons even in the dark.
Control and comfort – Like its predecessor, the Eye III is equipped with a 2-way pressure-turn wheel. In addition to this, there is only one other button (photo button) and the contact on the lens cap (which can be used to control standby mode, for example). The control layout is extremely successful. Small criticisms of the predecessor have been eliminated and you will be able to use the device in a short time.
