ALPEN OPTICS APEX LT target optics 2-12×44 A4 Gen 2
The APEX LT 2-12x44 A4 Gen 2 is a riflescope from Alpen Optics. We use it for stand hunting , stalking , and driven hunts . The magnification range is from 2x to 12x . The objective lens measures 44 mm in diameter. The reticle 4 (A4) is located in the second focal plane. It does not increase in size when zooming, so the illuminated dot remains the same size at every magnification. The main tube has a diameter of 30 mm. The housing is nitrogen- filled, preventing internal fogging of the lenses. The riflescope is IPX7 rated, meaning it can withstand brief immersion in up to 1 meter of water. Weighing 812 grams and measuring 345 mm in length, the APEX LT has a solid feel in the hand. Generation 2 incorporates three technical innovations.
For which applications is the APEX LT 2-12×44 A4 Gen 2 suitable?
The APEX LT Gen 2 is the world's first riflescope with a fixed, integrated external thread on the objective lens. This allows you to equip the riflescope with the optionally available Fusion adapter. Instead of a clamping sleeve, the mount is screwed in place. The connection remains absolutely secure, even when firing.
A tilt sensor detects the firing position. The illuminated reticle switches on automatically when the firing position is reached. It switches off again when you move out of the firing position. Those who prefer to adjust the position manually can also set the illuminated reticle.
After zeroing, set the zero point. The zero stop prevents rotation beyond the zero position. The locking mechanism further secures the elevation adjustment against accidental changes.
Magnification and optics – sharp from 2x to 12x.
The magnification range extends from 2x to 12x . The 44mm objective lens gathers a large amount of light. The FMC multi-layer coating reduces reflections and achieves up to 95% light transmission . The image remains sharp and high-contrast right to the edge. A diopter adjustment allows you to focus the reticle on your eyes, even if you wear glasses. The rubberized throw lever on the magnification ring allows for quick magnification changes. On a driven hunt, you can switch from 2x to 12x magnification in seconds.
A4 reticle and adjustment – 0,1 MRAD per click
The reticle 4 is located in the second focal plane. It remains the same size at all magnifications. Adjustment is in 0,1 MRAD increments . One click corresponds to exactly 1 cm at 100 m. No conversion to MOA is necessary. Parallax adjustment ranges from 10 m to infinity. The illuminated dot is powered by a CR2032 battery , which is included.
Manual parallax adjustment starts at 10 meters. This is particularly useful at the shooting range and when using a thermal imaging clip-on device at close range.
Housing and weather protection – IPX7 and impact resistance up to 1000 g
The housing is nitrogen-filled, preventing the lenses from fogging up internally, even in rain and cold. The riflescope is IPX7 rated, easily withstanding brief immersion in up to 1 meter of water. The turret can withstand recoil forces of up to 1000 g , allowing the APEX LT to handle powerful calibers and magnum ammunition with ease.
Mounting and accessories – screw connection for attachments
The integrated external thread on the lens is the basis for attaching a front-facing device. To attach a front-facing device, you will also need the optional Fusion adapter from [manufacturer name missing]. Präzise JagenIt is screwed on instead of clamped on. This saves weight and maintains the weapon's balance. For standard attachments with an M52x0,75 connection, the following is also included: Präzise Jagen Duo connectors are used. For long distances, the ballistic turret offers eight distance rings. Five rings are permanently marked for 100 to 500 m. Three further rings can be individually adjusted to your ammunition.
Fusion adapters, duo connectors, and ballistic turrets are optional accessories and are available separately. They are specifically designed for the APEX LT Gen 2.

Questions & Answers about Vector Optics
Yes. The lens has a fixed M52x0,75 thread . You screw a suitable attachment directly onto it, without a clamping sleeve.
With the zero stop . After zeroing, you set the zero position. Rotating beyond the zero point is then no longer possible.
One click corresponds to 0,1 MRAD . At 100 m, that's exactly 1 cm . No conversion to MOA is necessary.
A tilt sensor detects the shooting position. The illuminated reticle switches on automatically when the rifle is in the firing position and off again when it is not ready to fire. This saves battery power while hunting.
Yes. The turret can withstand recoil forces of up to 1000 g . This means the scope can also handle magnum ammunition.
Yes. The A4 reticle is located in the second focal plane and does not increase in size when zooming. The illuminated dot remains the same size at 2x magnification as at 12x.
From 4 m . The parallax compensation extends from 10 m to infinity.
